Olive Branch is a location of Telford Minster in North Telford. We are a growing community of people of different ages and backgrounds, gathering to worship Jesus, explore the Bible, pray, share life together. Being shaped in community to learn what it means to follow Jesus.
Whether you have followed Jesus for years, are coming back to church, are exploring faith, or have never been to church before, you are really welcome.
When We Gather.

All generations worshipping together is at the heart of our gatherings. We sing, pray and have opportunities to respond to God in different ways.
You are free to join in as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. There is no pressure to know what to do.

We read and explore the Bible together because we believe God still speaks through it today. We want to understand what it means and how it shapes our everyday lives. We are always asking what this means for the way we follow Jesus, day by day and week by week.

We make space to pray together and to listen to God. There are also opportunities to receive prayer if you would like it.

We regularly share bread and wine together, remembering Jesus’ death and resurrection, celebrating all he has done for us, and sharing in the life he gives us.

Community is a big part of Olive Branch. We seek to know one another, share life, eat together and be there for each other through the ordinary stuff of life.
Everyone Is Welcome
Olive Branch is intentionally intergenerational. Children, young people and adults worship together.
Our gatherings are relaxed and often quite hands-on. Sometimes there might be something creative to do, space to pray, or another way to respond to what we have heard.
You can join in, or simply sit, watch and take things at your own pace. If church is completely new to you, that is absolutely fine. You do not need to know the songs or understand the Bible. You are welcome to come along just as you are.

Olive Branch began as one of the communities of Telford Minster, with a particular heart for people living across North Telford.
It began with prayer. At New Wine in 2023 several people, praying separately, described the same picture over this community – that it would be formed around the word of God. Not long afterwards, in a front room in Apley, people coming to faith described the same thing, without having heard it.
From the beginning, there has been a simple desire to help people encounter Jesus, discover the peace and new life he brings, and build genuine community with one another.
As people began meeting in homes to pray, share meals and explore the Bible together, the community grew. People came to faith, grew as followers of Jesus and were equipped to help others do the same. That simple pattern, disciples making disciples, continues to shape how we grow today, with new communities forming and multiplying as a result.
Today, Olive Branch is Telford Minster’s worshipping community in North Telford and remains fully part of the wider Telford Minster family.
We are also connected with New Wine and Myriad, networks which help churches grow, develop new leaders and start new Christian communities.

Church for us is about more than attending something on a Sunday.
We gather together to worship each month, but throughout the month we also meet in homes, coffee shops and other ordinary places across North Telford.
These smaller communities are places where friendships can grow, people can pray and explore faith together, and we can support one another through everyday life. In these Jesus-centred spaces we learn to form our identity in Him, and to follow Him with our head, hands, heart and feet.
We want to be a church where there is room for everyone, whatever your age, background or story.

Telford Minster exists to make Jesus known, and Olive Branch shares that same heart here in North Telford.
We want to see lives renewed, communities restored and the Church alive in Jesus’ name.
That means being present in our neighbourhoods, caring for people, praying for our communities and helping others discover the hope and new life we believe is found in Jesus.
We do not simply want to gather as a church. We want to make a difference wherever God has placed us. Everything set out below is what we believe brings that about here:

What to expect from one of our Communities?
We also gather in smaller discipleship groups each week. When we live out these values, communities become safe, generous, and life-giving spaces for all who attend.
