“I AM”
A Teaching Series
in John’s Gospel

SUMMER 2026

Jesus repeatedly uses the phrase "I Am" (ἐγώ εἰμι) to reveal his identity. These statements echo the divine name revealed in the Book of Exodus 3:14 and invite people not just to understand Jesus but to encounter him.

Each I AM statement speaks to a deep human need. This series invites us to spend time with some of Jesus' most personal and revealing words - His "I AM" statements in John's Gospel. Each one offers not just an image, but an invitation: to see more clearly who Jesus is and to discover what life with him truly looks like. Together, they draw us beyond surface-level faith into something deeper, where our hunger, direction, security, and purpose are all found in him.

  • John 6:25-59

On Sunday, we began a new teaching series in the Gospel of John, beginning with “I am the bread of life.”...

    1. JESUS IS ALL THAT WE NEED.
“I am the bread of life. Or in other words, I am the food that you need.” “You don’t need anything else. Church. You just need Jesus.”

    2. AN OPEN INVITATION.
“What we feed on shapes who we become.” “This is bread for the hungry, not a reward for the deserving.”

  • John 8:12-20

On Sunday, we continued our I Am series in the Gospel of John, focusing on Jesus’ words in John 8. Jesus clearly declares who He is when He says, “I am the light of the world.”

    • JESUS BRINGS LIGHT:
“Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Jesus brings clarity, hope, and life into a dark world.

    • REFLECTING HIS LIGHT:
God’s light shines on everyone, but we do not all reflect it the same way. God calls us not just to receive His light, but to reflect it to the world around us.

    • BECOMING LIKE CHRIST:
God is more interested in who we are becoming than what we are doing. As we walk closely with Him, He forms us so His light can be seen through us.
